Replacement GRP FD30s Fire Doors Programme (PM20-21)

Tender description

Taff Housing Association are seeking to appoint one FIRAS Approved Contractor, to Supply and Install 34 x Certified 30 Minute Fire & Smoke complete door-sets (White Finish). These work will include the supply and installation of standard door set frames, and attached transom frames with approved fan light fire-resistant glazing to various low-rise converted flats and as-built blocks of flats, as described within the Schedule of Addresses (Appendix 4). The general nature of works within this contract will include the following: Resident liaison to arrange convenient access arrangements to undertake the works as stipulated within the contract. To carefully remove existing fire door frames and doors and cart away. To prepare openings to receive and install new GRP Composite FD30s door sets with appropriate fire stopping where required. Making good door openings upon completion removing all waste and debris from site upon completion to the satisfaction of the Contract Administrator. All materials used within the contract, including the preparation and application, must adhere to the supplied FD30s specification (Appendix 1). Taff Housing Association preferred material option, is the Wink Haus AV2/3 FD30s, due to advantage and ability to adapt the door set at a later date to an electric motor driven door, for persons of limited mobility and dexterity.
