Seven Force Procurement on behalf of Kent Police are seeking to identify a creative Museum Design and Build provider to progress the design, manufacture and set up of the new Kent Police Museum based in an active police station in Faversham, Kent. Approximately GBP 85 000 (excluding VAT) has been awarded to fund this project and as such Seven Force Procurement are keen to engage with a design and build contractor to collaborate with the stakeholders to: • develop the museum layout; • design graphics and displays for manufacture and installation; • project manage the construction of the agreed design in the museum space. The dedicated space in Faversham Police Station will be marketed as a public space to exhibit historic Kent policing artefacts to the local and wider community. Where possible the space can be developed using technology and design to engage and educate visitors to the historical aspects of policing as well as utilising cells to demonstrate conditions of the time. The contract including the information found below is to develop, design and build the scheme utilising expertise, skills and experience in this industry. At this stage, Seven Force Procurement are seeking ‘Expressions of Interest’ from Museum Design and Build organisations who may wish to formally tender for this project in due course. This is a market engagement exercise only at this stage and not a tender process.
