Tender description
A number of the major floating offshore wind markets have national standards, guidance and technical regulation applicable to floating offshore wind. The development of both IEC TS 61400-3-2 and DNVGL-ST-0119 (combined with DNVGL-SE-0422 to achieve certification) are considered to provide a robust basis for the development of a comprehensive and appropriate suite of technical guidance, technical specifications, standards and regulations for floating offshore wind. However, the medium and long term growth of floating offshore wind in the UK offers a short term opportunity to review the risks and opportunities associated with the development and application of guidance, technical specifications, standards and regulations, with a view to identifying a range of activities which could be initiated to support the development of a comprehensive and appropriate suite of technical guidance, technical specifications, standards and regulations for floating offshore wind.
