Tender description
Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust (YAS) seeks to establish a framework agreement consisting of a range of patient-focused transport providers who are suitably qualified. The service shall be used mostly by the Patient Transport Service (PTS), for patients eligible for NHS funded transport who are unable to travel to their healthcare appointments by other means due to their medical condition. This also includes discharges, transfers, admissions and low acuity transport. The service shall also be required some of the time by the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and 111 where transport is required to convey a patient to an Emergency Department within a thirty (30) or sixty (60) minute timeframe from the request for the journey. A vehicle with capacity to transport patients able to get in and out of a standard car with minimal assistance, children travelling with an escort and patients travelling in their own wheelchair. A vehicle with capacity to transport a minimum of three (3) patients able to get in and out of a standard car with minimal assistance on any journey. This includes children travelling with an escort. A vehicle with capacity to transport patients able to get in and out of a standard car with minimal assistance, children travelling with an escort, patients travelling in their own wheelchair and patients who require moving and handling equipment and assistance. A vehicle with capacity to transport patients able to get in and out of a standard car with minimal assistance, children travelling with an escort, patients travelling in their own wheelchair and patients who require moving and handling equipment and assistance. All may require the assistance from an additional crew member. A provider registered with the care quality commission and a vehicle with capacity to transport patients able to get in and out of a standard car with minimal assistance, children travelling with an escort, patients travelling in their own wheelchair, patients travelling on a stretcher. All may require moving and handling equipment and assistance and the assistance from an additional crew member. A provider registered with the care quality commission and a vehicle with capacity to transport patients with complex mobility needs. This will require moving and handling equipment and assistance and more than two (2) crew members.
