Tender description

Scottish water requires contractor(s) to operate, service and maintain our hydro power assets to maximise generation and performance. The contractor will be required to attend sites across mainland Scotland. The schemes are split in to two lots, one being slightly north of the central belt and the other within or south of the central belt. Scottish Water requires contractor(s) to operate, service and maintain our hydro power assets to maximise generation and performance. The contractor will be required to attend sites across mainland Scotland. The points below broadly detail the contractor requirements: — the contractor shall be capable of providing daily remote monitoring services for hydro power assets where comms are available or practical, — the contractor must be able to evidence that they can operate the asset types, — the contractor shall be capable of providing regular inspections and servicing of that asset type and provide evidence, — the contractor shall be capable of delivering planned and reactive maintenance of the relevant asset type and component parts. The reactive maintenance is to be completed within 24 hours, or as soon as practicable, as per current access arrangements, — the contractor shall be capable of optimising each renewable scheme for that asset type in order to maximise the energy generated that will offset onsite asset consumption or be exported to the grid, — the contractor shall be able to produce inspection and servicing reports and asset condition reports, — the contractor shall be able to do root cause analysis and investigation of any failures.
