ITT for Catering Services to Newbridge Learning Community, Wigan

Tender description

This ITT is to provide school meals to Newbridge Learning Community in Wigan. The school provides specialist education to 88 pupils ranging in age from 11-16 years. All pupils have EHC plans (special educational, health and social care needs). Pupils are supported by 52 staff members (45 FTE) This contract is for a period of 3 years with potential for a further two, one year extensions. The school is looking for a caterer who will provide made-on-site freshly prepared and cooked food, that cares about the food that they serve and who will make every effort to engage with the children and staff to achieve the objectives of the school. The school would like the caterer to maximise upon the meal uptake of children and staff. Additional information: Caterers must have experience of providing catering services to schools and ideally to special schools. A strong local management support is important, as is the ability to engage the pupils, treat every meal as an occasion and develop the menus and provision together with the school and interested consumers.
