To procure a digital design expertise to develop a digital product and platform to deliver support and training to care staff in nursing and care home sector during the Covid-19 crisis. The University will procure digital design expertise to develop a digital product and platform to deliver support and training to care staff in nursing and care home sector during the Covid-19 crisis. Due to the extreme urgency of this project we will be direct awarding as per the PPN 01/20 using regulation 32(2)(c). The funding is from the urgent National Institute for Health Research rapid response for Covid-19 award with a set of incredibly tight delivery timescales in order to support vital research. We need to respond to the Covid-19 consequences immediately because of the nature of the project. The pandemic is an urgent unprecedented challenge, with care homes some of the hardest hit and most impacted. We urgently need to support care staff and provide the best environment possible for care home residents. This project is part of a national Covid-19 rapid response initiative and by its very nature, requires urgent and expedited procedures.
