Summary of the work Essential Skills and Experience include: Business Analysis Customer liaison Consultancy Coaching Technical Knowledge Desirable Skills and Experience include: WebLogic 10&12, Eclipse IDE, Struts 1 Java EE framework Practitioner and knowledge of Criminal Justice Systems, working knowledge of conviction data since ViSOR is used to manage offenders according to current legislation Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 2 years Latest start date Wednesday 1 July 2020 Early Market Engagement N/A Who Speclialist Work With Business and System Analyst to work in the Development Team responsible for developing and maintaining the system that supports the Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA)for managing the most dangerous offenders in the UK. Although the system was known as the Violent and Sexual Offenders Register (ViSOR) it manages a larger range of offenders; therefore, an understanding of the criminal justice system and how the various departments, agencies, prison and probation interact to deliver service to the public is required. What Specialists Work On Represent ViSOR development team interests at the National and Company meetings and consult when necessary including: National User Group Change Management Group ITSG (Innovations & Security) Internal development and strategy groups and meetings Analyse Request for Changes Design solutions for RFCs. Produce design specifications for development. Prioritise and assign RFCs and Defects to releases. Produce online help files for releases using authoring tool: Robo Help. Live support – 2nd line Live support. Investigate problems and establish root causes, communicate this to all stakeholder Practice within ITIL framework Responsible with information Keeping abreast& help steer emerging tech and roadmap for ViSOR Skills & Experience • SC Clearance & NPPV3 Clearance • Business Analysis • Customer liaison • Consultancy with all stakeholders, internal and external and t all levels • JAVA / J2EE / Oracle Database / SQL, PL-SQL, Rational s/w ClearCase, quest, rose and RoboHelp authoring tool. Work Location Work will take place at a restricted development area located in Marsham Street, Westminster in Central London. However, the successful candidate can work from home. Working Arrangments 5 day week Security Clearance Applicants must have Home Office SC clearance and NPPV 3 clearance as the applicants will have access to sensitive information on offenders. This clearance must be demonstrated before any sensitive information is shared with potential candidates. This is mandatory and only applications with the requisite clearance with the considered. This is an opportunity that we would consider but if there will be no consideration for other platforms we will not start the application. It has to be an Oracle DBA as that is the software used to implement the system and there are no plans to migrate to another database platform. 5.
