The provision od Participant Catering at the National Leadership Academy

Tender description

The NHS Leadership Academy, as part of NHSE/I, has awarded a single Contract to deliver the provision of Catering Services. Scope  The Supplier will cater for all delegates five days a week - Monday to Friday, serving a cold lunchtime meal, one healthy snack or cake in the afternoon and occasional hot evening meals.  Lunch and evening meals will be a buffet style service where delegates can help themselves from a choice of options available.  Food items will be prepared off-site and delivered to the Academy ready for service. Items can be finished on-site in the kitchen provided (within the equipment facilities available).  The Supplier will be expected to be fully compliant with health and safety and food hygiene safety standards.  The Supplier will be expected to provide a range of interesting and diverse food options across the programmes as well as accounting for dietary requirements e.g. ethnic and faith based; food allergy; gluten free; vegetarian etc.  All menus must be designed so that no programme receives the same meal in the same week.  The Supplier will guarantee traceability for all food supplies in line with legislation and good practice and evidence of which can be audited either by the Academy, other NHS organisations, or their third parties for regulation.  The Supplier will be expected to deliver the service in line with the NHS sustainability and wider government objectives.
