Tender description

The Metropolitan Police Services (MPS) has two car pounds that are used to store seized and crime related vehicles. MPS Vehicle Recovery and Examination Services (VRES) manage these sites. Both sites are operated 24/7, 365 days a year and are the forefront of policing. Unlocking services are mainly for vehicles that have been involved in crime or seized by the MPS. Lots: 1) Lot 1: Perivale Pound and offsite within the MPS area 2) Lot 2: Charlton Pound and offsite within the MPS area 3) Lot 3: Perivale and Charlton Pound and offsite within the MPS area. Currently, the Metropolitan Police Services (MPS) has two internally operated car pounds that are used to store seized and crime related vehicles. Vehicles that will require unlocking are mainly vehicles that have been involved in crime and require forensic examination along with a smaller percentage of vehicles, which have been seized by the MPS. MPS Area divided into 2 areas; the following boroughs support 1) Perivale Pound (lot 1) — Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Enfield, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Haringey Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames, Sutton, Wandsworth, Westminster. 2) Charlton Pound (lot 2) — Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Hackney, Havering, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Redbridge, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest.
