Tender description

The Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is looking to tender a contract for the proactive maintenance of the lift estate across the GMP owned buildings and for 24/7 reactive maintenance where required. GMP has approximately 30 lifts across the estate, the majority of which require a monthly check. GMP would like to understand the position suppliers are in with respect to tendering following the Covid-19 lockdown. Are suppliers able to tender ? Do suppliers have access to the relevant spare parts in order to service lifts ? What information would suppliers wish to have included in the tender documentation when published ? This prior information notice is not being used as a call for competition. Potential providers who do not express an interest at this stage will not be excluded from bidding after the OJEU contract notice is published. The provision of proactive and reactive maintenance of 30 lifts across the GMP estate: The maintenance, correct adjustment and repair and/or replacement shall include the entire installation of each lift unit, starting from and including the fuses/mccb’s/mcb’s of the incoming electrical supplies in the machine room/space i.e. Main isolators and distribution boards and excluding only work arising from abuse, misuse or accidental damage to the lift car interior and lift landing entrances.
