RBKC-Upgrade of Electrical Mains Laterals and Risers (Talbot House)

Tender description

The electrical works shall include the supervision; co-ordination; supply and delivery; off-loading; storing; erection; installation; testing and commissioning, of the services associated with the project, all as contained within this specification. The Works shall include the following:- a. Detailed programming of the works to minimise disruption to residents (no residents will be decanted during these works). b. Engagement of UKPN and EDF as required for, the replacement of the main service head, isolating/reenergizing and reconnections of electrical meters. c. Installation of new BNO installation and striping out of the old rising and lateral mains system in a phased manner. New cable to be XLPE/LSF single core sized as appropriate, and installed within metallic/PVC trunking/conduit, to comply with current BS7671 and all relevant standards. d. Replacement of TPN Lift supply and installation of appropriate isolator. New cabling to be XLPE/SWA/LSF size as appropriate and installed in existing rising duct, to comply with current BS7671 and all relevant standards. e. Installation of main and supplementary bonding as required to all non-electrical services and all extraneous and/or exposed conductive parts. f. Extension of existing intake cupboard to provide space for housing new distribution equipment. g. Containment installation (lateral mains). This will require installation of metallic trunking routed from intake cupboard to each dwelling. h. Complete removal of relevant redundant cabling and redundant containment once new installation is in place. i. Builderswork, making good and fire stopping of any holes through walls, floors and fire compartments. j. Testing, commissioning and certification of the electrical systems relating to the BNO Installation. k. Provision of O&M Manuals. l. Provision of Spares. m. Instruction/training of Client's staff.
