Tender description

An Post is seeking to enter into a single party framework agreement for the following requirements for an initial period of 5 years with the option to extend for up to a further 3 years: • maintenance, support and supply of current network infrastructure and future networking equipment and systems; • supply of networking professional services; • supply, maintenance and support of a unified communications and collaboration solution. This current maintenance, support and supply of networking equipment framework will conclude in 2021. That agreement covers the entire An Post network infrastructure in which there are 1 400 network devices across 900 plus sites nationwide, three mails processing centres and three data centres in the Dublin metro area. The infrastructure also provides wireless connectivity for 4 500 handheld scanners. As the An Post networking infrastructure is large and complex there is a requirement to enhance the in-house networking expertise with external networking professional services to assist with networking design and major change projects. An Post currently does not have a unified communications and collaboration solution. The current requirements are being met with disparate systems, these systems consist of a HQ telephony system within which there are a number of Call Centres with IVR facilities, a HQ based IP telephony system providing telephony services for remote sites, collaboration is provided by Microsoft Teams and a small call recording solution with 32 channels. However, there is now a both a business and technical requirement to unify these systems and expand the services provided.
