Tender description

Vygruppen AS intends to enter into a new contract that covers baggage transport for the Bergen Railway and the Voss Railway in 2020. Vy would like to obtain updated information on the market for solutions that can meet our need for this procurement. At first the service includes a baggage transport service for groups and individual travellers, both Norwegian and international customers, on the Bergen Railway and the Voss Railway, with connection to the Flåm Railway if needed. Vygruppen AS intends to enter into a new contract that covers baggage transport for the Bergen Railway and the Voss Railway in 2020. Vy would like to obtain updated information on the market for solutions that can meet our need for this procurement. At first the service includes a baggage transport service for groups and individual travellers, both Norwegian and international customers, on the Bergen Railway and the Voss Railway, with connection to the Flåm Railway if needed. Where possible, the baggage must be transported only by the tenderer's means of transport and it must arrive on the same day that customers arrives at their destination. It will not be possible to have space on the train apart from transporting baggage to Finse, where the train is the natural choice. The service must be offered at the end stations (Oslo and Bergen). In addition we would like to offer the service at more stations, hotels, and/or private addresses along the railway line. Particularly relevant stations are the intersections at Geilo, Voss and Flåm. (NB: Not on the Bergen Railway, but important additional stations.) The expected annual volume is approx. 35 000 items of baggage, but the goal is to increase this in the long term.
