Tender description

Oldham Council currently commissions a range of services as part of its targeted offer to young people across the Borough. The purpose of this commission is to secure future commissioning arrangements for continued service delivery post April 2020 and to maintain a cohesive approach to targeted support for young people. The service will be expected to deliver appropriate, individual targeted support packages that engage with young people and their families to work with identified issues and concerns over a set period of time. Each young person will be assigned an individual worker who will work with them in home, school and community settings, including out of hours activities where appropriate. Oldham Council is seeking to commission a high quality, accessible support service for young carers between the age of 8-18 years old. The successful provider will deliver a complete service offering appropriate advice and guidance, signposting to other services, support to encourage and ensure engagement in education, employment or training and provide appropriate health support as required, as set out in this service specification.
