Pleasley Vale Business Park window replacement/refurbishment and other associated works project

Tender description

The Council is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake a project to replace or refurbish a large number of the windows on this site, the majority of which have had very little maintenance over the years. In 2019 the Council appointed Ridge and Partners to undertake a window condition survey, the findings of which are included as part of this documentation. Upon surveying, it was discovered that a number of windows needed replacing but that the majority just needed some repair and redecoration to bring them back into a reasonable state of repair. They also identified other associated works including lintel and cill repair/replacement, re-glazing, masonry repairs etc. These items have all been included within this project. Where new windows are to be fitted they should be like for like replacements using similar materials and be the same in style as existing, all of which will require approval by the Councils Conservation Officer before installation. Where repairs are to be undertaken they should be done using like for like materials to match in with the existing, again in consultation with the Council's Conservation Officer. Decoration should be undertaken in colours approved by the Council. This project includes all external window repairs as identified but only includes internal repairs when they are located within communal areas. Internal window repairs within tenanted areas are not included within this project as they are the responsibility of the tenants as laid out in the terms of their leases.
