Who Speclialist Work With Technical Leads, Architects and stakeholders across DDaT, user communities, suppliers and staff across the programmes, Senior stakeholders and other cross-government teams. What Specialists Work On Work with delivery teams and partners to break technical requirements down into pieces and identify API requirements. Lead the rapid development of user-driven prototypes to identify technical options and inform architectural approaches. Ensure that new and updated platforms, products and transactions are thoroughly performance tested. Work with suppliers to ensure that their system architectures are robust, scalable, open and secure. Ensure the delivery of change is made against an auditable process by producing/assisting with: frameworks; methodologies; operating model; non-functional specification; user cases/ stories; OAT plans and strategy; entry/exit and/or no/no go criteria; defect analysis; forms and templates; guidance; business case. Where the Work Takes Place 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF /Croydon Campus/Other DDaT locations as required Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements A typical working day is 9am-5pm, however working outside of these hours may be required due to business/project need. The role requires flexibility as individuals may be required to work at any of the Customer premises and/or at supplier sites. The role is outside of IR35. Work Location 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF /Croydon Campus/Other DDaT locations as required Security Clearance SC Additional T&Cs Travel expenses are payable for journeys outside the M25 where approved in advance by the customer and in line with Home Office Travel policy (subsistence is not payable). Skills & Experience Understand and identify the role of technology in public service, or similar, delivery and policy implementation Effectively capture, utilise and share customer insight and views from a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure better policy and delivery Spot warning signs of things going wrong and provide a decisive response to significant delivery challenges Comprehensive and recent experience designing and implementing complex software systems, i.e. is an active software developer currently engaged in architecting and building high-volume digital services Demonstrable track record of successfully taking an evolutionary architecture approach to software architecture Experience with automated configuration management, deployment and testing solutions Experience using and deploying on Cloud based platforms Experience sharing knowledge and working in a multi-disciplinary team Nice to Haves Experience of working in an Agile environment using SCRUM or other Agile frameworks Demonstrable experience working in similarly complex environments.
