DCC is looking to establish a framework to deliver business support for the HotSW LEP area. This framework will also be available to Somerset County Council, members of the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership (HotSW LEP) and the Devon and Cornwall Procurement Partnership. Local authorities across the Heart of the South West LEP area are committed to supporting businesses to prosper and grow. The authority recognises that good quality advice and support is one of the key ways to do this, encouraging people to start up, grow and be innovative in their business thinking. Support for all types of businesses and social enterprises on all levels, regarding general business topics and essential growth and planning support. — basic support and holistic diagnostic, — technological and digital business operation support, — leadership development and management support, — regulatory business support. Providers of data collection, analysis and evaluation activities are required for activities to support the design and rationale for future business support across HotSW. Activities may include: — primary data collection including business engagement, — analysis and evaluation of primary and secondary data and reports. This may include: • academic exploration to inform future programme design and recommendations including: Specialist services are required with regards to a variety of topics unique to specific sectors or business developments: — specialist support for social enterprises, — women Led Enterprise, — clean growth, — family succession planning, — exports, — commercialisation, — specialist Start-up support. Under this strand of activity, the authority is seeking organisations to complete training needs analyses who can work with employers to help ensure they can: — plan and invest well, — support leadership and management development, — attract, develop and retain talent, — implement training.
