Provision of digital and IT training services to the Women4IT project.

ICS Skills seeks proposals for the delivery of IT skills training programmes to young women as part of the Women4IT project, a multi-stakeholder partnership across 9 European countries, funded by the EEA Grants and the Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment (Project No. 2017-1-094). The project calls for the delivery of innovative training solutions aimed at preparing the target group of vulnerable young women for employment in one of six pre-defined digital job roles. As part of the Women4IT project, ICS Skills will run a pilot to up-skill young women across Ireland and increase their opportunities to secure employment in roles that are dependent on digital competences, referred to as ‘digital jobs’. The pilot targets young women aged 18-29 years who are not currently in employment, education or training. ICS Skills is the certification body of the Irish Computer Society, a non-profit membership organisation founded in 1967 to support the ICT and related professions in Ireland. Its mission is to further Ireland's economic, educational and cultural participation in the worldwide Information Society. It advocates for digital literacy and the use of technology in education, research and developing policy on all aspects of ICT and supports the ICT profession in Ireland.
