Tender description
The London Borough of Bromley (“the Council”) is seeking bids for a 15 year full repairing and insuring lease of the concert platform in Crystal Palace Park. The concert platform is a cherished asset amongst the local community and the Council is looking for new business proposals that put the community at the heart of the concert platform and safeguard its future. This is not a procurement process run under the Public Contract Regulations 2015 or the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016. This is marketing exercise to secure a tenant who will operate from the premises and invest in the Property to bring a neglected park asset into commercial and community use. In assessing the bids the Council will be complying with its duty under section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 not to dispose of land for ‘a consideration less than the best that can be reasonably obtained.’ Keywords: Concert platform
