Tender description

General cleaning services needed in communal area of properties that may include, but may not be limited to; sheltered schemes, temporary accommodation, hostels and a residents’ community/resource centre. Also potential for provisional items to be added, e.g. window cleaning, extract clean of carpets that are needed less frequently on an ad-hoc or planned basis. The service provider must be able to facilitate provisional items as and when required. We work with key stakeholder groups to ensure services are tailored to meet the needs of each property. The service provider will work collaboratively with us and stakeholder groups to ensure the services provided are appropriate and fit for purpose. The contractor must be experienced and sensitive to the needs of working in properties that house children, elderly and other vulnerable groups. The contract is not split into lots as the nature of the work and the limited geographical area would be uneconomical and inefficient to manage. The procurement is to provide a range of general cleaning services to properties that are managed by Wokingham Borough Council, housing services.
