Request for Information Link: https://consult.northyorks.gov.uk/snapwebhost/s.asp?k=158877232756 ----------------------------------------------------------- North Yorkshire County Council (the Council) currently commissions translation and interpretation services to meet the needs of customers across North Yorkshire. The current contracts are scheduled to end on 31st March 2021, and we are currently carrying out activities to prepare for the procurement. We want to engage with potential providers at an early stage to help inform that process. The Council is keen to procure services that are innovative and high quality, responsive to customers and users, and offer value for money. The Council wishes to procure the following services: • Face to face community language interpreting • Video community language interpreting • Telephone community language interpreting • Face to face British Sign Language interpreting • Video British Sign Language interpreting • Written translation • Audio transcription (text to speech) – human voice The purpose of these services is to support and facilitate communication between the Council and clients or customers who do not have English as a first language, or who require communication support due to a physical impairment, through interpretation and translation. There is a requirement to provide the service across the geographic area of North Yorkshire.
