Dublin Bus are seeking to select a minimum of 5 panel of suitably qualified Main Contractors to invite to tender for Pyrite Removal and Remediation Harristown Project 1 The existing Harristown building and site require remedial works to deal with the presence of Pyrites and the damage caused to date. The works to rectify the impact of pyrites on the building require full removal of floor slab and all of the sub-floor hardcore below the floor slab followed by the reinstatement of a new floor in all areas with new hardcore subfloor The works consists of ( this is a non exhaustive list) 1. This contract, referred to as Contract 1, is to be carried out in three phases. These phases are outlined in the accompanying drawings 51.3.441. PQQ.01, 02, 03, 04 and 05. 2. There are four main areas of works in this contract. The administration building, the maintenance workshop , the fuelling tanks area and the articulated workshop. 3. The administration Block works require demolition and reinstatement following removal of the floor slab and pyrites of the ground floor areas .This entails removal of internal walls, ceiling, Mechanical and electrical installations , sanitary ware , joinery items and any other items identified on the tender contract drawings to be issued to the selected panel following this Prequalification process. The reinstatement works in the administration block include new floor slab, internal wall, ceiling, toilet areas. Some joinery items will be retained for re use. New ceilings and light fixtures will also form part of the works to this area 4. The maintenance workshop main works entail removal of existing bus lifts and installation of four new bus platform lifts. Excavation to remove pyrites will require an excavation depth in the order of 1.5m 5. The fuelling tanks area is partially external and partially enclosed.
