The HSE and health service unions are committed to maintaining a positive workplace environment that recognises the dignity of all employees. The People Strategy 2015-2018 , ( Section 2.13 Staff Working Environment) refers to the need to ‘Build on Positive Workplace Initiatives that recognise our social and collective responsibilities to create sustainable and nurturing environments that recognise staff and value resilience and innovation’, and this Priority action is supported by this joint initiative. The values of care, compassion, trust and learning are based on the HSE Corporate Plan 2015 – 2017. This plan informs many of the significant changes currently taking place right across the health services. The organisation structure of the health services is changing but the culture is changing too. Values In Action is part of a broader plan to Build a Better Health Service, which involves numerous change and improvement programmes currently underway across the health services, which in turn are supported by this initiative. Accordingly, the HSE invites proposals from suitably qualified candidates for the provision of a training programme in "Preventative Measures for Bullying and Harassment - Managing For a Positive Workplace for All”.
