Tender description

A Framework Agreement arranged into 3 lots to cover Planned & Reactive Maintenance & Minor Works separated as Minor Building Works, Mechanical Works/Services and Electrical Works/Services. Refer to the procurement documentation for the full specification. Properties for all Lots will include County Council-owned properties, public sector estate and infrastructure, schools (maintained or otherwise), Academies, Free schools, libraries, community buildings, general offices, education/higher education property, health & social care buildings, emergency services buildings, community buildings, occasional nursery facilities, sports facilities, and light industrial units. The Framework Agreement will work in accordance with the National Schedule of Rates (‘NSR’) and Provider day rates/on-costs to provide Planned & Reactive Maintenance and Minor Works: - Lot 1 – Minor Building Works - The work typically consists of general building/construction projects to carry out internal/external alterations, new-build, alterations/extensions, refurbishments, fit-outs, fabric work, and external works. - The value of each project will usually range between GBP 50 000 and GBP 500 000 with the occasional individual project reaching values outside of this. - There is no cap on project size. Properties for all Lots will include Authority-owned properties, public sector estate and infrastructure, schools (maintained or otherwise), Academies, Free schools, libraries, community buildings, general offices, education/higher education property, health & social care buildings, emergency services buildings, community buildings, occasional nursery facilities, sports facilities, and light industrial units. As part of the Governments National Procurement Strategy, collaborative working and supporting other Authorities now forms part of the Contracting Authority's procurement remit. This agreement may be made available to other Contracting Authorities including without limitation Councils and Public Bodies within Staffordshire and neighbouring geographical areas as prescribed by the NUTS codes in this notice. These will include Health and NHS Bodies, Local Authorities, Contracting Authorities, any other Government Department, Defence, Police and Emergency Services, Metropolitan / District Councils, Utilities, Educational Establishments, and Utilities, including the Contracting Authorities named in this notice. These organisations will be afforded third party rights or be named as beneficiaries under the contract or contracts where appropriate. Works are likely to include, but not limited to, heating, domestic hot water and gas installations, also air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems. - The value of each project will usually range between GBP 20 000 and GBP 100 000 with the occasional individual project reaching values outside of this. - There is no cap on project size. Properties for all Lots will include Authority-owned properties, public sector estate and infrastructure, schools (maintained or otherwise), Academies, Free schools, libraries, community buildings, general offices, education/higher education property, health & social care buildings, emergency services buildings, community buildings, occasional nursery facilities, sports facilities, and light industrial units.
