Tender description

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to invite competitive tenders for a 3-year fixed price maintenance, repair and installation contract for automatic doors and subject to schedule of rates, hourly rates and material uplift, to carry out all or any maintenance, repairs or renewals which may be or become necessary and provide an emergency 24-hour service. The contract is likely to include an optional extension period of up to 2 years. The works are likely to include the following items and other requirements set out in the tender documents once issued: • planned preventive maintenance tasks (ppm); • tasks identified in the operation and maintenance manuals for the doors; • statutory regulations; • attendance to breakdowns; • remedial work; • replacement road induction loops; • reports and records of all events; • contract management and supervision; • provision of remote locking/unlocking, door resets and web based portal; • replacement of door operators that at life expired or beyond economical repair; • all items or events that would reasonably be inferred as being necessary for the completion of the works whether expressly described or not.
