Painting and protective-coating work of structures

Tender description

A framework contract for the provision of painting works, to be carried out on behalf of NYCC and others. The geographical scope of this framework contract covers the locations associated with NYCC and other Yorkshire Highways Alliance (YHA) members, namely: Bradford Metropolitan District Council; Leeds City Council; Wakefield Metropolitan District Council; Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council; City of York Council; and The Borough Council of Calderdale. Other contracting authorities may also wish to access the services of the suppliers on the framework. Including but not limited to — painting based schemes consisting of maintenance of predominately steel bridges and structures and buildings including working in or around water courses, highways and the rail network. Depending on the requirements of the work order there may be a requirement to carry out minor repairs/works.
