Southport Events 2020 - Public Address System for British Musical Fireworks Championship

Sefton Council’s Tourism Department is responsible for arranging events for the Southport area which includes the British Musical Fireworks Championship each year. This is a hugely popular event that is well attended. Sefton Council is looking for a suitable supplier for the provision of a Public Address System at the British Musical Fireworks Championship. Specification Event Dates – 25th, 26th & 27th September 2020. Delivery & Erection Dates 24th September 2020. Collection Date 28th September 2020 Four hangs of self powered and individually controllable twin 10 inch line array cabinets to cover an area of 90m deep by 235m wide. Each hang to be suspended from a 7.5m high PA tower to provide even coverage whilst not visually obscuring site lines. The system must provide coverage of the entire area across the full audio frequency spectrum plus or minus 6db. Each PA tower should have a sub array and fill speakers for the local area. Remote wind monitoring mounted to the top of the PA towers must also be provided. Further fill speakers need to be placed in between the towers to help coverage. The system should offer a significant further drop off beyond the fence line at local residents of a further 12db. Separate smaller audio systems required for seated area, Judges area and firing area. Provision of dry control area for technical equipment. Audio inputs from both the Main and a flexible firing area are facilitated. Plus PA for bandstand area to be heard through main PA. Keywords: PA, Events
