Tender description

CDC is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake surveys to both domestic dwellings, and common areas from Council owned properties, communal areas and garages sites in SCDC’s district that are the result of planned programmes. Council has a stock of approximately 5 241 domestic dwellings, mostly low rise traditional construction. Non-traditional properties account for 287 dwellings, and are a mix of Airey houses, Wimpey, Swedish Timber, Addison, Unity, and Hauxley, most of which have had improvement works completed. There are 40 Communal Rooms, 84 blocks, and 862 garages. At the present time, the surveys are held in the Keystone Asset Management system and as pdf files attached to the properties. The Council is in the process of moving this data to a new asset management system, Orchard Asset. As a result of this, the successful contractor will be required to assist in the data migration, and to contribute to assessing the accuracy of existing data. The successful contractor will be required to provide survey data in a format that can be loaded directly into Orchard Asset, usually via an Excel spreadsheet, as well as providing survey information in pdf format. Files will need to be named in an acceptable format to link with Orchard Asset. It is the intention of the Council to carry out an ongoing programme of surveys, testing and removal where necessary. Please note that the removal of asbestos is not part of this contract.
