Tender description
Places for People are seeking to appoint suppliers of workwear, corporate wear and PPE products and services and as such, wish to form a framework which will be utilised and owned by Places for People. It is intended that this framework will be used for the Places for People’s and their group subsidiaries clothing needs. The initial term of the contract will be 24 months, with two (2) possible optional 12 month extensions, making a potential maximum contract term of three (4) years. The framework will consist of three lots (1) PPE, 2) Workwear and 3) Corporate Wear). Up to 3 suppliers will be awarded per lot. The first-ranked suppliers on each lot will be tasked with providing the associated products and services to Places for People throughout the UK. Deadline for submission of tender is 27 November 2019 — 12.00 (subject to change). Places for People Group wish to appoint contractors to supply and deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Workwear and Corporate Wear. This contract will be split into 3 lots: Lot 1: Supply and Delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Lot 2: Supply and Delivery of Workwear and; Lot 3: Supply and Delivery of Corporate Wear Tenderers are permitted to submit a tender for each lot. The provision of ‘Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)’ relates to clothing and products designated for protecting Places for People's employees against health or safety risks at work including (but not limted to) safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high-visibility clothing, safety footwear, safety harnesses and respiratory protective equipment (RPE). In some cases, these will be branded i.e. helmet transfers. The successful suppliers will be able to demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety regulations within the UK. Services include (but not limited to) delivery, ‘uniform packing’ and embroidery/tax tabbing. There is also an online ordering and reporting element required as part of this provision. For this particular lot (Lot 1), Places for People are seeking the appointment of up to 3 contractors for the supply and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by way of a framework agreement. The first ranked supplier on this lot will be directly awarded the contract for Places for People's requirements. The second and third ranked suppliers will be awarded a position on the framework and will be available for mini competitions, ad-hoc supply and for the case of early termination of the first ranked supplier. The framework will be in place for four (4) years, with the underlying Places for People being in place for 3 years, with an optional extension of a further 1 year period - making a possible contract term of 4 years. Places for People Group wish to appoint contractors to supply and deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Workwear and Corporate Wear. This contract will be split into 3 lots: Lot 1: Supply and Delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Lot 2: Supply and Delivery of Workwear and; Lot 3: Supply and Delivery of Corporate Wear Tenderers are permitted to submit a tender for each lot. The provision of ‘Workwear’ relates to clothing designated for undertaking labour activities, including (but not limited to) t-shirts, polo shirts, work trousers and coats. For this particular lot (lot 2), Places for People are seeking the appointment of up to 3 contractors for the supply and delivery of Workwear by way of a framework agreement. The first ranked supplier on this lot will be directly awarded the contract for Places for People's requirements. The second and third ranked suppliers will be awarded a position on the framework and will be available for mini competitions, ad-hoc supply and for the case of early termination of the first ranked supplier. There is also an online ordering and reporting element required as part of this provision. For this particular lot (Lot 3), Places for People are seeking the appointment of up to 3 contractors for the supply and delivery of Workwear by way of a framework agreement. The first ranked supplier on this lot will be directly awarded the contract for Places for People's requirements. The second and third ranked suppliers will be awarded a position on the framework and will be available for mini competitions, ad-hoc supply and for the case of early termination of the first ranked supplier.
