NOTIFICATION OF SITE CLEARANCE SUBCONTRACT PACKAGE A303 Sparkford to Ilchester Galliford Try, as the South West Regional Delivery Partner are delivering the A303 Sparkford to Ilchester dualling project in the county of Somerset on behalf of Highways England. The project involves the design and construction of 5.6km of new dual lane all-purpose carriageway, connecting the existing dual carriageway at the Sparkford and Podimore Bypasses, therefore creating a continuous dual carriageway between Mere and the Podimore Roundabout. The project is currently awaiting the approval of the Development Consent Order from the Secretary of State for Transport and this is expected to be given in early Spring 2020. Subject to receiving approval, the project is forecast to commence on site in late summer 2020 and will take around 2 years to complete. Package: Site Clearance We are seeking to appoint a Contractor[s] to support the development of the programme, and target price. The successful bidder[s] will also be appointed as Preferred Bidder for the Construction Stage (PCF6), and subject to the agreement of final target price, will deliver the Site Clearance for the project without need for any further competition. Outline Scope of Works We are seeking to appoint a Contractor[s] to support the development of the programme and target price. Outline Scope of Works The site clearance works involve the removal of the following:- • Vegetation clearance • Tree Clearance [inc stump removal] • Existing fencing • Existing road signs • Existing street lights • Existing Road / Crash Barriers We acknowledge the varied nature of site clearance works and understand that not all of the above items may be of interest to your company. We would however request that you provide a quote for any of the above work items that you would be interested in undertaking. In providing your quotation please make it clear which of the above items [if any] you have excluded from your quotation. Programme It is currently anticipated that the site clearance works will commence around September 2020.
