The existing microwave links room battery systems on all thirty link fed sites are over 10 years old. They are becoming highly susceptible to failures, with growing difficulties sourcing parts given the age of the equipment. These battery systems perform an important function in that they protect critical microwave radio links equipment when there is a power outage. This tender is for the replacement of these battery systems on 30 sites over a 3 to 5-year period.
