It is the largest fresh produce market in the United Kingdom and has a unique role in London’s market provisions of supplying fruit, vegetables, flowers, plants, and many other catering needs. Customers include leading chefs, florists, restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, other commercial businesses and private customers. The site is currently in Phase 1 of its redevelopment, the total redevelopment consists of 6 Phases. The maintenance works will comprise the following activities: — preventative maintenance of LV infrastructure (scheduled and reactive), — coordination with specialist sub-contractors for preventive maintenance of HV infrastructure, — coordination with specialist sub-contractors for preventive maintenance of lightning protection, high mast lighting, CCTV etc. The electrical contractor is to be NICEIC (or equivalent) registered and approved in order to ensure quality and compliance with the latest electrical regulations (BS7671 Latest Edition).
