Tender description

Islington Council's housing repairs service delivers responsive repairs to council properties within the borough including communal repairs to approximately 29 000 properties. The contracts will provide for specialist technical support and additional support to the in-house housing repairs service during busier ‘peak’ times, and the special projects team with resources to deliver Section 106 funded estate improvements. The contract will also provide for a dedicated contractor for housing legal repair for housing disrepair cases. The aim is to support the in-house teams in providing an efficient and effective service to our residents, and ensure the council’s housing stock is maintained in a good order of repair. This will include basic repairs, improvements or minor adaptations and the ability to respond to urgent matters. The contract period will be for 24 months from an estimated start date of 1.12.2019 with the option to extend for a further 2 periods, of up to 12 months each, total contract duration 48 months. Framework agreement with 4 contractors. The Council requires a single contractor to undertake borough-wide repairs and maintenance works that are the subject of a legal claim for disrepair. The contract period will be for 24 months from an estimated start date of 1.12.2019 with the option to extend for a further 2 periods, of up to 12 months each, total contract duration 48 months. Framework agreement with one contractor.
