Tender description

Derby City Council requires interpretation and translation services to facilitate access to Council services for its citizens who have English as an additional language. The provision is for cost effective interpreting and/or translation support, in all languages, to Council colleagues working with people who have English as an additional language who live in Derby or are placed outside of Derby (for example some children and young people who still come under the responsibility of the Council). The services will not be accessed directly by citizens. The service provider will provide bilingual face to face interpreting to support all planned and unplanned events. The service provider will provide a bilingual telephone interpretation service to be available in all languages, without booking, 24 hours daily, 365 days a year to support all planned and unplanned events. The service provider will provide a written translation service for the Council during the working hours of 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
