This tender opportunity, is for the provision of Translation and Interpretation Services in Somerset is being offered in 4 lots as set out below: Lot 1: Early Years; Lot 2: Out of County Provision; Lot 3: General Council Services; Lot 4: Polish Link Worker. As part of the Council’s requirements under the Equality Act 2010 we must provide a translation and interpretation service. As part of our commitment to support children and young people we have provided a translation and interpretation service to early years settings. This service needs to cover several different areas of delivery such as: — face to face interpretation, — over the phone interpretation, — text translation, — online interpretation. As part of the Council’s requirements under the Equality Act 2010 we must provide a translation and interpretation service. This service needs to cover several different areas of delivery such as: — face to face interpretation, — over the phone interpretation, — text translation, — online interpretation. The supplier would need to be able to support the service anywhere in the UK. This service will be for translation and interpretation, face-to-face, written and telephone on a pay as you go basis. The Council has provided the Polish Link Worker Service for over 10 years. This has provided translation and interpretation work. The link worker(s) works in a one on one role with children, provides help with assessments, supports improved levels of proficiency of English and works within schools and early years settings on cultural awareness.
