Tender description

If or when a competition is held it will be to appoint suitably qualified service provider for the provision of IT services to support the retail market messaging GasMaP (Messaging and Processes) system which allows for the automated exchange of data between retail gas market participants. If or when a competition is held it will be to appoint suitably qualified service provider for the provision of IT services to support the retail market messaging GasMaP (Messaging and Processes) system which allows for the automated exchange of data between retail gas market participants. If or when a competition is held it will be to appoint suitably qualified service provider with proven capability for the provision of development, support, maintenance, and managed services for the bespoke retail gas market messaging solution (GasMaP). The retail market messaging GasMaP provides the infrastructure which supports the automated exchange of data between market participants — i.e. providing a link between the IT systems of GNI, as the transporter, and the systems of the various gas shippers in the retail gas market. GasMaP is based around a tailored “market messaging” solution for the Republic of Ireland retail gas market. It is utilised on a 24/7 basis and enbles GNI to comply with the CRU and EU regulations. The services provided by the GasMaP solution are tailored specifically to GNI’s requirements and many GNI’s business functions rely on this system. The responsibilities and competencies involved cover a broad range of IT technology disciplines and capabilities associated with but not limited to: — demonstrates strong familiarity of the contracting entity’s regulated operational environment, — full processing and validation of Republic of Ireland retail gas market message formats, — support for the retail gas market processes in the Republic of Ireland, such as registration, change of shipper, site works, meter reading and data updates, — introduction of new messages and data elements, — manage the implementation of approved retail market messaging XML schema changes as well as system integrations and associated OS and hardware services, — supporting a broad range of technical and communications protocols, — automated exception handling capability to minimise the need for manual intervention, — maintain, support and extend the existing core services, — product innovation roadmap, — investigate extended infrastructure management and cloud adoption, — explore comprehensive managed IT services support options, — emphasis on strong feedback and issue resolution.
