Tender description
The Future Homes Alliance (FHA), is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) which was incorporated on 6.4.2018 (as a Company Ltd by shares) to develop better housing suitable for everyone. The shareholders are: The Elders Council, Zero Carbon Futures, Sustainable Communities Initiative, Innovation SuperNetwork, Ryder Architects and Newcastle University; chaired by Professor Rose Gilroy. FHA is looking to build on a very strong brand and sustain a robust business model for the longer term. The FHA wishes to bring in a CEO to work with partners and directors to develop and implement a clear activity business plan to ensure a self-managed entity. Working with a quadruple helix model (stakeholders: commerce, third sector, academic and municipality) to secure funding to add value to subsequent developments. The CEO will be tasked with exploring the funding community, regionally and nationally to ensure the sustainability of the FHA business model in the long-term. The initial brief of the executive will be to: (a) agree a business model/modus operandi for FHA that is approved by FHA board and Newcastle University; (b) produce a viable and approved business plan; (c) complete any further legal agreements required for enacting the business model and business plan; (d) deliver expeditiously to Newcastle University any information and confirmations that it requires in order to comply with its ERDF reporting requirements; (e) institute and implement the activities and operating procedures determined under Phases 1 and 2 so that FHA is a fully operational entity; (f) negotiate and secure grant, seed capital or other funding required by the business in accordance with the business plan.
