Tender description

Provision of home to school transport in the Kirkby Loonsdale area (3 routes), Ulverston area (1 route) and Brampton area (1 route). The minimum number of seats required varies between 22 and 130. You must refer to the ‘Instructions for Tendering’ prior to submitting your bid. All submissions must be uploaded and returned via The Chest (www.the-chest.org.uk). Tenders are invited for passenger transport services for home to school transport in the Kirkby Lonsdale area, Ulverston area and Brampton area. The contract is for a maximum of 42 months. The Council expressly reserves the right: (i) not to award any or all of the contracts as a result of the procurement process commenced by publication of this notice; (ii) to make whatever changes it may see for to the content and structure of the tendering competition; (iii) in no circumstances will the Council be liable for any costs incurred during the procurement process. If the Council decides to enter into a contract with the successful supplier(s), this does not mean that there is any guarantee of subsequent contracts being awarded. Any expenditure, work or effort undertaken prior to contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgement of potential suppliers.
