Tender description
North Somerset Council is establishing a dynamic purchasing system to be used in the appointment of contractors to assist in the delivering of building enhancement works to shop fronts in Weston-super-Mare Town centre. The DPS consists of a number of lots. Contractors can apply to be included onto one or more of the lots. The nature of this contract is considered to be works. The total estimated value of the contract falls below the Works threshold limited. Consequently, whilst the full provision of the regulations don’t apply the council has voluntary issued this contract notice. It is envisaged that most contracts issued through the DPS will be in the range of 5 000 GBP to 50 000 GBP, however, the DPS can be used for individual schemes of up to around 190 000 GBP. Overall total funding for all schemes is limited to circa 1000 000 GBP. The council invites you to become an admitted participant on the Weston-super-Mare Shop Front Enhancement Scheme DPS (dynamic purchasing system). Admitted contractors will receive mini competition opportunities relevant to the lot/s they are on. Typical work will include, but, is not limited to: — new shop fronts: including glazing, timber frame, wooden facia and signage, exterior lighting, — repair and reinstatement of a shop front fixture that is visible from the street, including the first and second floors of premises. It is envisaged that most contracts issued through the DPS will be in the range of 5 000 GBP to 50 000 GBP, however, the DPS can be used for individual schemes of up to around 190 000 GBP. Overall total funding for all schemes is limited to circa 1 000 000 GBP. The council invites you to become an admitted participant on the Weston-super-Mare Shop Front Enhancement Scheme DPS (dynamic purchasing system). Admitted contractors will receive mini competition opportunities relevant to the lot/s they are on. Typical work will include, but, is not limited to: — repainting of shop fronts/façade of the building, — repainting and or re-rendering of prominent elevations. It is envisaged that most contracts issued through the DPS will be in the range of 5 000 GBP to 50 000 GBP, however, the DPS can be used for individual schemes of up to around 190 000 GBP. Overall total funding for all schemes is limited to circa 1 000 000 GBP. The council invites you to become an admitted participant on the Weston-super-Mare Shop Front Enhancement Scheme DPS (dynamic purchasing system). Typical work will include, but, is not limited to: — lighting, both external and within window displays. It is envisaged that most contracts issued through the DPS will be in the range of 5 000 GBP to 50 000 GBP, however, the DPS can be used for individual schemes of up to around 190 000 GBP. Overall total funding for all schemes is limited to circa 1 000 000 GBP. Typical work will include, but, is not limited to: — shop doorway/doors automatic, — pedestrian access enhancements compliant with the Equality Act 2010.
