Tender description
MED require the services of a contractor to construct 10. No. Light industrial units at Claremont Estate on the West Pier of Howth FHC in 2 no. blocks (A&B). The Proposed units is to be built for engineering and maintenance facilities to service the needs of the maritime fleet that use the port of Howth and the adjacent Boat yard. The Department wish to tender for the construction of both Blocks. It should be noted however that the works may, subject to budgetary availability, only go ahead with the construction of Block A. To this effect the pricing document BOQ summary has been broken into two sections “ Block A “ and Block B”. contractors must price all sections of the works at tender. As noted above, the works consist of the construction of 2 no. Blocks of light industrial units (5 no. units per block). The works will consist of the following: - Installation of steel portal frames - Cladding of frames - Installation of personnel / access doors and roller shutter doors - Installation of electrical systems - Installation of plumbing / mechanical systems - External finishing works including installation of kerbs, concrete footpaths and roadway, perimeter fencing and landscaping to west side of Block A
