Repair and maintenance services of escalators

Tender description

There are over 350 lift and escalators mechanically maintained by London Underground and Crossrail. The control system provides the pivotal electrical human interface between station staff and the mechanical workings of the escalator asset. Allowing operational staff to: — change the direction of the assets traffic flow, — provide safe working environment for staff while the assets are under maintenance, — reduce energy consumption of the asset within a station environment, — monitor safety equipment and enable condition monitoring sensors to interface with operational staff. The Supplier shall provide the following maintenance services in accordance with the stated specification and the contract requirements to all the maintained assets, including the necessary replacement of consumables, components and supporting infrastructure to facilitate: — planned maintenance services, — reactive maintenance services, — spares maintenance services, — software maintenance services. Maintenance, servicing and fault call response related to drive systems and a programmable logic controllers as per detailed specification. See Volume 2 — Specification.
