Context Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT, www.dit.ie), Institute of Technology Blanchardstown (ITB, www.itb.ie) and Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT, www.it-tallaght.ie) are the three partners of the Dublin Technological University Alliance (TU4Dublin, www.tu4dublin.ie).The new institution will be the largest higher education institution in Ireland with over 28,000 students. In addition to its three physical campuses – Grangegorman, Blanchardstown and Tallaght – a digital campus will link all of its systems and technologies. We expect to apply for designation in April 2018 and following an international panel visit, hope to achieve designation as early as September 2018. The three Institutes work collaboratively at several levels to deliver services to students and staff. These organisations have come from different historical origins and as separate legal entities have naturally over time developed their own structural and cultural norms. In preparation towards designation as a new Technological University the work requires assistance from external expertise to provide facilitation and related specialist services to support, assist and guide the progression in organisational design, change processes and engagement planning across the three institutes
