Consultancy Services for Sustainability Appraisal Scoping, Sustainability Appraisal/SEAs and Habitat Regulations Assessments to support the West Suffolk Local Plan. Forest Heath District Council and St Edmundsbury Borough Council will formally merge into a single council known as West Suffolk in May 2019. Ahead of this, the Councils will shortly commence work on the development of a new Local Plan for West Suffolk. The Local Development Scheme (LDS) timeline for the preparation of the Plan is attached to this schedule at Annex A, which is currently progressing through the Council's committee process for adoption in December 2018. To support and inform the West Suffolk Local Plan, the Council is seeking a consultancy to produce a Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report and Sustainability Appraisals/SEAs and Habitat Regulations Assessment reports. A summary of the work required is set out in table 1 below. Consultants bidding for this work should review these requirements carefully and ensure they are able to provide the requisite skills and expertise to undertake and deliver this project.
