Tender description

The purpose of this public contract concerns a Competitive Dialogue Process to ultimately establish supply partnering for building materials and associated materials to Oxford Direct Services. Oxford Direct Services is a “Teckal” company which is a company which benefits from contracts for works, services or supply from its controlling Contracting Authority (Oxford City Council). Oxford Direct Services Ltd (ODS) invites tenders for the award of a single contract for the Provision of a Supply and/or Delivery of Trade Material Commodities and Associated Services to ODS Ltd. These materials will be used to carry out approximately 30 000 repairs and maintenance to Council buildings, other contracts and major projects by over 200 operatives and subcontractors. It is the intention of ODS that any Contract resulting from this ITPD and final bid will commence during September 2019 for a period of 4 years with the option to extend for up to a further 3 years in 1 year increments undertaken subject to the Supplier meeting pre-determined performance targets. ODS currently operates a central stores facility from its Horspath Road Depot, Cowley, Oxford to serve the current material supply requirements. The Supply chain partner will be required to provide an appropriate facility or immediate cover to service the needs of the contract in full, mainly based in Oxford. Currently 4 000 000 GBP per year is being spent on these materials.
