Tender description

Leicester City Council invites tenders for the provision of a managed stores service and supply of associated goods and services. The services as set out in the specification will provide for a managed and maintained service providing materials, goods and associated services via a dedicated stores including being situated within the preferred zone. The materials to be supplied include the following categories: joinery, plumbing, fencing, general building supplies, electrical supplies, gas appliance parts, decorating supplies, glazing supplies, ironmongery supplies, specialised joinery supplies, miscellaneous supplies. The materials will be used to support the council's in-house provision of repairs to its estate of over 20 000 council houses. The housing division currently carries out in the region of 130 000 responsive repairs per annum. The anticipated annual value of the Council’s requirements in terms of spend on the items as covered by the services is approximately 2 500 000 GBP, although this is not guaranteed and provided for the purposes of illustration and is subject to change as the Council’s housing stock profiles change. The contract start date given below may change dependent on the procurement process and contract signing date. Other contract dates will change consequently to maintain the same contract duration and extension period.
