De Montfort University (DMU) is seeking to appoint a sole Contractor to replace existing fluorescent lighting fitting with new LED type fittings and the replacement of the existing emergency lighting with new P4 FASTELink Self Testing Computer Addressable Emergency Lighting within three of our buildings in Leicester. These Buildings are: o Hawthorn Building o Clephan Building o Queens Building o All of the buildings are situated on the university's city centre campus in Leicester. The aim of the project is to reduce carbon emissions, operational costs and maintenance costs associated with lighting these buildings. o The contract will be a JCT 2016 Minor Works Building Contract with Contractor's Design with DMU Amendments. o The Electrical Contractor will be an NICEIC Approved Contractor or ECA Member with prior experience of contracts of this size and type Full details of the requirements are set out in Tender documents.
