Tender description

The London Borough of Croydon is seeking providers with relevant experience to tender to join a dynamic purchasing system (DPS) to supply care and support in the home and active lives services. The dynamic purchasing system (DPS) model provides flexibility both for the Council and providers as new suppliers can, having met the exclusion and selection criteria, join the DPS throughout its duration. This DPS comprises of 3 lots: Lot 1: Care and Support in the Home; Lot 2: Active Lives and Day Opportunities; Lot 3: Short Term Outreach Support. The Council is procuring this DPS under the light touch regime and is adapting it to enable it to procure the services it requires. Please see the additional information of the notice. All elements of this tender will be managed online via the London tenders portal (www.londontenders.org). Provision of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated home care services for the London Borough of Croydon. The specification describes the minimum requirements and standards for delivering home care and reablement. Providers can apply for 1 or more service categories (sub-lots) for care and support in the Home, which are: Service Category 1: prime home care provider; Service Category 2: secondary home care provider; Service Category 3: care and support in extra care housing. Adult active lives and day opportunities support working age adults and older people in accessing a range of community and/or buildings based day or evening sessions to improve the quality of life and to promote and support independence. The services covered by this specification may be broadly defined as: — buildings based day and evening care, — buildings based day and evening opportunities, — community based day and evening opportunities, — group work programmes, — employability support, — vocational support. Outreach is outcome focussed support that enables individuals to develop confidence and independence within an agreed time frame. The overarching outcome is to enable individuals to be fully integrated members of their local community. The support provided will be time focussed to learn skills that promote independence. Outreach support will need to work with the family and build links with the individual’s support network to ensure continued learning in the individual’s locality and wider community.
