Tender description

The redevelopment of St Camillus to provide new elderly care accommodation containing 75 bedrooms will be carried out in phased construction to contain/provide the following: Phase 1: the construction of a new 2 storey care ward block extension. The ground and first floor of each ward will contain 25 bedrooms and ancillary accommodation. 3 459 sqm; Phase 2: existing patients to be decanted into the new buildings constructed under phase 1.The section of the existing building to be demolished has a area of 1 335 sqm: Phase 3: the construction of a single-storey ward block containing 25 bedrooms and ancillary accommodation. This building will have a total floor area of 1 573 sqm. The refurbishment of the existing 1-storey section of the hospital 4 55 sqm. The project includes the following: — the construction of a new 2 storey 50 Bed ward block extension 3 459 sqm, construction of new 2 storey entrance building of 654 sqm, demolition of the existing wing of hospital, — the construction of a single-storey ward block containing 25 bedrooms and ancillary accommodation 1 573 sqm, — the refurbishment of the existing 3-storey section of the original building.
