The Donkey Sanctuary (TDS) was founded in 1969 by Dr Elisabeth Svendsen MBE, became a registered charity in 1973 and now operates under the governance of a sole corporate trustee, The Donkey Sanctuary Trustee Ltd. The charity’s work improves the lives of donkeys and mules in countries around the world through a combination of international branches, subsidiary entities, holding bases and collaborations with other like-minded organisations. We carry out a range of fundraising, donkey care and welfare, education, training, research, and donkey-facilitated learning activities under one overarching global strategy: to transform the quality of life for donkeys, mules and people worldwide through greater understanding, collaboration and support and by promoting lasting, mutually life-enhancing relationships. TDS is looking for an external travel partner(s), to provide a managed travel service for Domestic and International travel across our Charity. Our current internal processes for Domestic and International travel are complicated and as such mean that staff are not sure how they should be booking travel and often decide the most convenient course of action. This means that we are using valuable time and resource reconciling purchase cards and reimbursing expense claims. We are currently reviewing our options for going out to tender for an external managed travel service for Domestic and International travel. At this stage we want to engage with the market early, to do some initial market research and feedback.
